London Fashion Week S/S 2014 pills

Is just ended the last Merceds Benz London Fashion Week S/S 2014, held from september 13th to 17th. As happened for New York, despite the beautiful collections presented, there have been few news, nothing really shocking... what a pity, right?

But we can't surely pretend the moon, can we? So, for the moment be satisfied waiting towards what expects us in Milan. In the meanwhile here a short review of my favourite collections.
BURBERRY PRORSUM
Is called English Rose the collection designed by Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum, a tribute to elegance, to grace and to femininity that, just as a flower, has to be preserved. Soft and delicate fabrics, delicious pastel colors and broderie anglaise. A fresh, young and, at the same time, elegant and sophisticated style, symbol of genious and versatility of the designer.

EMILIA WICKSTEAD
Delicate as a Laduree's macaron the collection is so nice! Minimal, with clean cuts, retro taste and played on sweet pastel colors that, gradually, leave place to bright colors and music prints.

FASHION EAST
Colorful, energic and fresh, this collection reminds me in a certain way the style of Agatha Ruiz De La Prada, very playful and fun. Colorful laces, tulle and 3D decorations, but also prints inspired by surrealism, make the collection one of the best apparences of the LFW.

HOLLY FULTON
In a great mix of geometry and 70's inspiration comes to life the personal tribute of Holly Fulton to Noosha Fox, an australian singer, famous for her style, a mix of ragge and rock. And that's how appear on catwalk bomber biker jackets, matched with pencil skirts, oversized shirts and silk dresses with slits enriched by crystal inserts, matched with big hats, oversized sunglasses and straw sandals.

JULIEN MCDONALD
Precious and birght: this is the lady of Julien McDonald.  Delicate fabrics, vertiginous slits and sensual games of transparences characterize the dresses enriched by sequin and crystal inserts that illuminate the models make them look like graceful and delicate goddesses with a sexy rock soul.

MEDHAM KIRCHOFF
True to themselves, always out of the boxes: we could describe like that the style of the designers of the brand Medham Kirchhoff. This time the inspiration is the gothic lolita who loses a bit of her dark mood, hugging flower prints and some touch of color here and there. The result is a collection sui generis, witha retro taste and a delicious dark soul.

PETER PILOTTO
The duo Peter Pilotto - Christopher De Vos is always a great combination. For s/s 2014 they present a collection inspired by the vulcanic energy and the works of the ceramist Ken Price. The result is a succession of elaborated overlaps, coatings, lace embroidery on digital prints, tweeds and macrame, clothes with structured shapes, a little asymmetrical, and a cromatic palette that goes from white to black, passing by turquoise, aquamarina, lavender, coral pink and peach.

What about you? What is your favourite collection?
